Organic Baby OnesiesThanks to everyone who participated in the onesie design contest in last month's newsletter, we're excited to preview FTJ's brand new organic and fair trade onesie, for that new special someone in your life! The design features a hamsah (a symbol of blessing) with an embedded pacifier (thanks to Betsy Teutsch's creativity!). Available for 6-12 months' size and in navy and teal.
FTJ co-designed these new Tree of Life bowls and plates with Venture Imports; made out of kisii stone from Africa, these individually painted pieces will add beauty and whimsy.

2016 Guatemala Trip

We only have a few spots left on our February 2 – 11, 2016 3rd annual Fair Trade Judaica trip to Guatemala! Highlights of our 2014 trip included (unexpectedly) finding handmade wooden groggers, trying out the backstrap loom, learning about the Mayan creation story, and spending Shabbat with the Orthodox and Reform Jewish communities! New for 2016: Visiting hot springs and designing new Judaica products with the artisans. Contact us soon if you're interested.

Fair Trade Shabbat 2016 is scheduled for Friday/Saturday May 13-14, Parshat Emor. More details available in January.

Guatemalan School Children
Interest in farming is in steep decline among young people in many of the communities where Fairtrade works. A program in Guatemala provides young girls and boys with the opportunity to continue their studies.
