Fair Trade Shabbat

World Fair Trade Day 2015 LogoSave Saturday May 8-9 for this year's Fair Trade Shabbat celebration (Parshat Emor). Thousands of people around the world will be celebrating World Fair Trade Day, and Fair Trade Judaica has put together a unique program for synagogues and other groups to observe this day Jewishly. We are excited to partner with the Rabbinical Assembly of the Conservative Movement, which is promoting this to their synagogues! Read about a program last year! Sign up here!

100 Under $100 - Tools for Empowering Global WomenBe inspired by Betsy Teutsch and her new book, "100 Under $100 - Tools for Empowering Global Women" at a book launch party on Tuesday, April 28 in Oakland. The Book highlights tools that provide women a toe-hold to climb the ladder out of extreme poverty. Bay Area Event with Ruth Messinger

FTJ is plesased to co-sponsor "Women Hold Up Half the Sky", a special Shabbat evening service at Congregation Beth El with AJWS. Ruth Messinger will discuss the challenges confronting women in developing countries - from poverty, to violence, to child marriage. The event is on Friday, April 17 at 7:30 pm, 1301 Oxford Street in Berkeley.
