Your tax deductible gift helps us provide assistance and support to fair trade artisans around the world, so that they, their families and communities can live with economic and social stability.

Thank You!

Thank you to everyone who made year-end donations! Your generosity is helping Fair Trade Judaica build the Jewish Fair Trade movement, bringing dignity and self-sufficiency to artisans and farmers around the world. This year we are designing lots of new Judaica products and introducing them to more synagogues and Judaica stores around the country and launching a Fair Trade Shabbat program. If you haven't yet made a donation, we'd appreciate your support.
Let us know if you'd like to get more involved as a volunteer. We have lots of interesting opportunities!

Tu B’shvat Fruits and Nuts

Fair Trade Fruits and Nuts Tu B'shvat begins Tuesday, February 3, as we celebrate all the gifts that trees bestow upon us. What better way to celebrate than eating organic and fair trade fruits and nuts? Fair Trade Judaica has compiled a list for your eating pleasure, including several chocolate covered choices!

Tree of Life Plate

Tree of Life PlateTu B’shvat is the Jewish holiday most connected to environmental issues. Environmental sustainability is one of Fair Trade's key principles - promoting healthy soil, re-use of materials, avoiding dangerous chemicals, and more. Fair Trade Judaica decided to create a new product: a beautiful Tree of Life plate made from recycled glass and decorated with a Tree of Life, olives, grapes, pomegranates, almonds, and figs, using water based paint! So beautiful, this plate can be used year round. Order by Tuesday, January 27 for plate to arrive by Tu B’shvat.

Bring FTJ to Your Community

We’d love to see more of you in person. Let us know if your congregation/community can host a Fair Trade Shabbaton. And, if you’d like to volunteer and staff a table for Fair Trade Judaica at a local fair, please let us know. We’d love to find someone to represent us at the NY Limmud event next month!

Fair Trade News

Ben and Jerry's goes all Fair Trade in 2015! Not that anyone needs another reason to eat their delicious ice cream and frozen yogurt, but all the cocoa, coffee, sugar, vanilla and bananas in their products will now be grown Fairtrade. Can't get better than that!
Check out the snappy Ben & Jerry's Pint Sized Answers: Fairtrade video on YouTube.
