Thanks to Teri Jedeikin for organizing this great event and sending us a report to share with you. Next year's Fair Trade Shabbat is scheduled for May 9, 2015.

NEW Kippot from Mayan Hands

NEW Fabric Kippot/YarmulkeThis is a first for Fair Trade Judaica - a new product designed by one of our Guatemala trip participants! In 2013, Shirley Waxman, an accomplished artist from Rockville, MD was on our trip and saw a bag of “scrap” material in the Mayan Hands warehouse in Guatemala City. She took it home and created a new design for kippot, using beautifully hand loomed fabric. We are excited to let you know that our first shipment has just arrived, and are available for purchase on our FTJ website.
