Exciting News about FTJ
Fair Trade Judaica is picking up steam, and we have some big changes coming up!
  • We are negotiating our first wholesale contract, bringing in creative and beautiful Judaica products from South Africa that have not been available in the U.S. until now. If you are interested in placing a wholesale order, please contact ilana@fairtradejudaica.org.
     
  • We are also in the early stages of re-designing our website! Changes will allow you to:
    • Purchase on-line thru affiliate marketing
    • Buy gift certificates
    • Celebrate simchas through our gift registry
    • Make donations in honor of someone
    • Advocate for fair trade at your synagogue

Celebrate Rosh Hashanah with
Fair Trade Organic Kosher Honey
Add sweetness to your New Year with Wholesome Sweetener's Organic Raw and Organic Amber honeys. The honey comes from fair trade cooperatives in Mexico, so the farmers also get a "sweet" and fair wage. Wholesome Sweeteners' honeys are available in a variety of stores. Mayan Hands Kippot New Kippot from Mayan Hands
Mayan Hands works with women in Guatemala to create beautifully hand woven kippot in a variety of colors and sizes.
New Judaica Products in Development
Fair Trade Judaica has been busy working with several fair trade wholesalers and producers to design new Judaica products. Coming later this fall will be woven tallitot from Guatemala (MayaWorks) and decorative paper cut banners to celebrate Chanukah (Casa Bonampak). Our fall 2009 newsletter will have more information on how to purchase them.
