Tallit Set

MW tallit set

MayaWorks’ exclusive fair trade tallit and bag are handwoven by Lili and other artisans in the village of Comalapa in Guatemala. The tallit is woven from ivory cotton fabric and embroidered with colorful stripes and Maya-inspired star shapes. These shapes have various meanings in the Maya world – often representing the four sacred directions or the many volcanoes found in the Guatemalan landscape.

The tallit has hand-tied fringes and does not include tzizit; these may be special ordered with an added cost and up to 2-4 weeks time for deliver.

The matching kippa is hand crocheted in San Marcos La Laguna.
